IP Assignment Agreement

An agreement to assign intellectual property rights that have been developed by one person (usually the founder or another service provider) to a company. This may be required if a person has developed IP for a company prior to being formally engaged as an employee or otherwise without having a contract in place that assigns the IP to the company.
